On the surface, the 2021 BMW X3 and INFINITI QX50 both seem like excellent choices for drivers in Montgomery, Auburn, and Prattville. They each come with spacious interiors, versatile capabilities, and of course, luxury amenities.

Although, when our BMW of Montgomery team took a closer look at the BMW X3 vs. INFINITI QX50, they noticed some key differences when it comes to the performance and cabin features of these two models. Which one then is truly right for you? Keep reading to find out!

Inside the X3 vs QX50

With either of these vehicles, you and your passengers will enjoy a spacious ride. Plus, there will be plenty of room in the back to pack up supplies for your daily activities. The main difference will be in the features that they each provide.

While the INFINITI QX50 comes standard with a dual-zone automatic climate control system, the BMW X3 features a standard 3-zone automatic climate control system. This lets your rear passengers also adjust the temperature in the back of the X3 while you and your front passenger each enjoy your own personal climate control settings.

They each also feature premium seating and power-adjustable front seats. In the 2021 QX50, these seats can move eight different ways and feature a power lumbar support for the driver's seat. The 2021 BMW X3 comes with 10-way power front seats that feature 2-way power side bolsters, as well as manual thigh support.

Plus, this also includes a standard memory system for the driver's seat for even more convenience each time you get behind the wheel of your BMW.

Powertrain Options

While each of these SUVs offer athletic performance for an exciting drive, the BMW X3 gives you more options when it comes its performance. With the 2021 INFINITI QX50, there is just one engine option - its 2.0L turbo I4 engine. While this generates 268 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, the 2021 X3 offers an even more powerful option.

With the available 3.0L BMW M TwinPower turbo inline 6-cylinder engine, the 2021 BMW X3 delivers 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque. That is enough power to take this crossover from 0 to 60 MPH in just 4.4 seconds.

The 2021 BMW X3 also offers an available plug-in hybrid configuration. With this, you will enjoy even more fuel-efficient performance. Even drive purely off electric power for up to 17 miles for quick trips to the store or when picking up the kids from practice.

Innovative Technology

Between the BMW X3 and INFINITI QX50, there are a variety of similar technology systems you can have inside the cabin of each model. These include the standard smartphone integration you will get with either Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™. They also each have available Head-up Display screens that give you vital information, like your speed and navigation projected right onto your windshield.

Although, only the 2021 X3 comes standard with a navigation system that will allow you to display turn-by-turn directions on the center display. Plus, with BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, you will have more convenient control over the navigation system, as well as other system settings in the BMW X3.

This lets you speak in a conversational tone to personalize your ride even more. Just say, Hey, BMW, I'm cold. The Intelligent Personal Assistant will automatically adjust the climate control system to warm up the cabin.

The Choice Between the BMW X3 vs INFINITI QX50

While both the 2021 BMW X3 and 2021 INFINITI QX50 offer a lot of advantages over other crossover SUVs, the performance options and premium standard features of the X3 make it an ideal choice for our drivers in Montgomery, Auburn, and Prattville.
