The BMW 3 Series is set to enter a new era in 2026, with a completely new platform, design, and tech. And while we don’t know a ton about what you’ll specifically get when the 2026 BMW 3 Series lands in the new inventory at BMW of Montgomery, we do have some hints as to what’s coming for the most popular BMW sedan.

All New Design

The 2026 BMW 3 Series will be the debut of BMW’s Neue Klasse design language for compact sedans. We’ve seen hints of the updated design language with the current 5 Series models, but the BMW 3 Series coming in 2026 will be the first sedan with a full expression of this new design direction. That means a completely new signature LED lighting design, new grilles, and different proportions than the current 3 Series, with a sloping roofline, longer trunk area, and more squarish body lines.

New Platform and Performance for the 2026 BMW 3 Series

In addition, the 2026 BMW 3 Series will get the same turbocharged four and six-cylinder engine options, albeit with enhanced performance and, most likely, hybrid capability. We also expect to see a new 3 Series EV join the fray, as the Neue Klasse platform is designed to house both combustion and all-electric powertrains across the board. You’ll also find new tech including a completely digitized dash that stretches across the passenger side as well, plus new remote features with the BMW app.
