The Consumer Electronics Show gave us a glimpse into the future of technology not just pertaining to phones, computers, etc. but also to the automotive industry. The electrifying BMW i3 was present to give demonstrations to folks willing to let go and take a leap. Consider it a major trust exercise.

One couple was blindfolded before taking the car for a cruise to see how it would react in the event of imminent danger of collisions. The i3 was able to stop in time to avoid hitting the object, and it even stopped when it sensed something was too close in the blind spots.

The other couple was shown how the car would maneuver itself into a parking space with no help from the driver. At just the touch of a button the i3 takes the pain out of parking and puts your woes to rest. I'm sure we've all passed up great spots because it was parallel parking or we weren't completely sure we could fit. Now the car can do it for you. How cool is that?
